This week George takes over from Ed on hosting duties because Ed is in London. Well, he might be in London, we’re not really sure. But that’s okay because we’ve got Chris Darwen, who takes it upon himself to annoy all the listeners in the first ten seconds.

Episode 56: The FM/Life Balance
This week Ed and George are joined by Mathias, and everyone’s not too shabby. Mathias joins from sunny Colorado, and they have a little discussion about some real life football.
The question of the week this week revolves around Euro 2016. Now the tournament’s coming to an end, we want to know which player’s abilities should be upgraded and downgraded because of their performance in the tournament.
Episode 55: The Bumper Holiday Special (feat Shrewnaldo and FM Analysis)
We’ve got a special bumper episode this time round. We’ve got not one, not three, but two guests. First there’s Lee Scott, from FM Analysis, and then we’ve got Shrewnaldo, who’s been playing FM and CM since 1993. Which is a long time.
Episode 54: Brexit at Tiffany’s
This week Ed and George are a bit sad because they can’t watch any football. And we might be making the whole thing a bit of a metaphor for a certain Brexit referendum.
There’s no guest this week, but as usual we don’t let that slow us down, or speed us up. Slow and steady wins the race, whatever that means.
Episode 53: Pat Butcher, Stoke Legend
This week George makes a heartfelt apology to the Welsh for getting a bit out of hand on Twitter. Ed laughs in the background and probably tuts a bit.
We don’t have a guest this week, probably because everyone’s busy drinking beer and watching the Euros. But that’s okay, we rarely let these things slow us down.
Episode 52: Football’s Coming Home…Probably
It’s the start of the Euros this week, and that can only mean one thing – we haven’t changed the format of the podcast at all. But Ed’s back home, so that’s great.
This week we’re joined by Ben Smith, who’s all the way over in Austraia. Even though his Twitter handle calls him ZeGerman. That’s not confusing at all. But he does explain it, so it’s all good.
Episode 51: Roughley Speaking
Ed is having a lovely time off on holiday, and George definitely isn’t upset about it. He’s joined by Richard Roughley though, so it’s not all doom and gloom.
Richard has been playing FM for 9 years and has been writing on The Deep Lying Podcast site for a while now. Which is good because George and Ed keep forgetting to.
Episode 50: The Fiftieth Episode Bonanza
You might have noticed over the past few weeks we’ve been threading the podcasts with suggestions we might be doing something big for the new 5-0. And here it is! The fiftieth episode! And it’s not just Ed’s mic starting to work.
Episode 49: Under FM Pressure
The audio quality is a little wonky on the podcast this time round, mainly because George was in an airport. But he gives a heartfelt apology, so you can’t get too mad.
We’re one episode away from the 50 milestone. George gives us a George fact about airports, and we’re joined by FM Pressure aka James.
Episode 48: United London FC
We’re edging even closer to the big 50. Ed doesn’t know how to set up his new microphone, and for some reason there isn’t any music at the start of this episode.
This week we do have a guest, despite what George might have said. We’re joined by Mark North who reinvents a tradition that we’ve all definitely been missing. He’s the chairman of United London FC, the world’s first manager-less football club.
