The Deep Lying Podcast

Episode 42: The Worst Football Manager Ever

George is in the hot seat on his own this week, but he’s joined by Ben, aka The Worst Football Manager Ever for a good chinwag.

The question of the week revolves around your favourite FM staff. Who are the scouts and the coaches that you always go for?

Ben only tends to manage in England, but he tends not to develop the same level of loyalty with his staff as he does with his players. In his current save with Sutton United he’s using David Hunt, who plays for Margate in real life right now.

George on the other hand is absurdly loyal, mainly to Terry McDermott. Partly because he’s a great coach who never manages to pass his coaching badges and abandon George. He also reveals a soft spot for bringing in a random retired pro to fill one of the roles at his clubs.

Then we have a chat about how our FM saves tend to end up either like a big happy family or an extension of the mob.

But wait! There’s more! All of this –

There’s loads of other good stuff in there as well, and you can listen to it all in the SoundCloud player below. And if that’s not your cup of tea, head over to iTunes and search for Deep Lying Podcast.
