Episode 47: Beware The Bogey Teams

We’re edging closer to the fiftieth episode. There’s a mystery brewing, albeit it’s being brewed by George and Ed so it’s not brewing particularly successfully.

This time we’re joined by Sean Cleaver, a freelance video game journalist who used to be an American sports journalist and supports Liverpool. So now you know all there is to know about him.

The question of the week is about George’s new obsession with Arouca – which is the bogey team that makes you want to punch the screen in frustration whenever you play against them?

Sean has plenty of unfinished business with Atletico Madrid. He’s beaten them once in European competitions during his FM life. And never managed to do it again.

Ed doesn’t like Chelsea, but especially hasn’t liked them for the past four years. He also thinks he’s Arsene Wenger reincarnated, which is a little bit weird. But in his Stoke save his nemesis is Bayern Munich. He always manages to concede four goals when he plays them.

George also dislikes Bayern. His shoutouts are Charlton in his Oldham save, Southampton in his Championship Manager days, and somehow doesn’t mention Maribor.

And then there’s all of this amazing stuff too –

Clearly there’s loads more as well, and you can put it all in your ears with the SoundCloud player below. Or if you’d prefer head over to iTunes and search for Deep Lying Podcast.
