Another week, another community round-up for you all to immediately stop what you’re doing and immerse yourself into a boatload of FM flavoured content.
Scott Salter and Will Sharp from In Bed With Maradona appeared on the pod this week, and if you haven’t given it a listen yet, I’d encourage you to do so. Bit of an early one for the exclusive to this post plug of some community content, but if you haven’t been reading Will’s FM17 save with Sheffield Wednesday on the site, I’d encourage you to do that too!
Ed gave us the first shoutout this week, and it was for the ever-brilliant FM17Project from the Set Pieces. Iain and Alex are managing Arsenal and Liverpool, and surprisingly for some, they’re quite doing well! How many Southampton players will Alex buy? Will Iain get the best out of Ozil? Have a read and find out.
We said last week that we expect to see a lot of these kind of saves in the run up to FM18 with data updates, and on FM18 itself. Asylumdoors on Roker Report has edited Sunderland into the Championship and is aiming to build the club back up again. He’s cleared out some deadwood and high earners, and brought in some young, hungry talent. Can he get back to the Premier League at the first time of asking?
Every year we get the spiel from SI about the 1,000+ new features that have been added to the game. This year Guido, Diego Mendoza and Dan Gear reckon that international management should get a fair few callouts in those 1,000 features. Would it take much to improve it? Who actually knows…I guess we’ll have to just wait and see.
Who doesn’t like a deep dive into the tactical mind of an FMer? If you said nobody, you are correct. OutsidetheboxFM takes us through his thoughts on how he’s planning to set up in his West Ham save.
Over on FMInside, theFMVeteran has started a new save with Barcelona. Give this one a read, because he’s set out some very strict rules he’ll be adhering to. One of them being he’s aiming to not pay over the odds wages to any player, including Messi. Yup, that’s right. If Messi doesn’t sign a new deal on reduced terms, he’ll be out the Nou Camp door on a free transfer!
KangarFM has been teasing us with some cryptic Tweets over the last couple of weeks, and he finally dropped the trailer for his new series on YouTube. It looks as though a Red Bull franchise will be joining the English league system very soon…
Remember forums? Ahhh, the good old days. Some of them are still going, you know! FMNow being one of them. Scott Salter gave the succession save going on over there on the forums a shoutout, not something that regular gets done nowadays, so it’s certainly an interesting read.
